okay, does ANYBODY fucking know anything about HTML shit? more specifically, popup windows and why I CAN'T GET THIS ONE TO WORK.

I'm using an in-browser site builder because I don't know enough about HTML to do shit from scratch, and it's all right, but really limited. SO I'm adding some custom HTML to allow for popup windows, because the layout is not working with the pictures I want to put up.

for my first attempt, I used a tutorial. it was a very nice tutorial. I'd set the code up, and when I clicked the link IN the site builder, it worked. when I published the page and tried to click the link, it opened IN the main window instead of in a new one.

wtf.

but there was no sort of A href="http://javascript: popUp shit that I could see, so I figured maybe that was the problem. I DO NOT KNOW THINGS ABOUT HTML.

I looked around, and then I found a place with code generators. FUCKING SCORE, right? so I put in my shit, and it generated a code for me. I put the code into the site builder. I clicked the link. yet again, the popup opened from the sitebuilder. I published the page. the popup would not work from the page. this time, it didn't open at all. nothing happened when the link was clicked.

well, fuck.

I kept fooling around with it, but it wouldn't work, so I finally returned to the same code generator and put in the EXACT SAME THING AS I DID THE TIME BEFORE, but now a new problem has presented itself. after I put the code into the site builder, it FUCKING ALTERS IT after I click elsewhere.

WHATWHATWHAT.

it keeps turning this:

into THIS:

which DOESN'T FUCKING DO ANYTHING.

so I just took a glance in my gallery, and wow. I really don't think it accurately represents my art shit. I draw (or used to draw) a lot more than what I submit because I don't finish anything, so I'm thinking about dumping a bunch of stuff into scraps. so, uh. if you care, watch my scraps, I guess. XD
